The commitment to diversity has been the driving force behind this 31st edition of 080 Barcelona Fashion Week.
In a world that is increasingly inclusive and open to new possibilities, we have seen proposals from 25 designers focused on diversity in capital letters. Clothes and models that represent society as a whole: gender diversity, people with different disabilities, seniors and young people on the catwalk, mixing cultures and showing the reality of all sizes.
The most plural and transgressive edition of 080, with a diversity of bodies, sizes and models.

The Sant Pau Art Nouveau Site hosted from 2 May to 5 May the proposals of 25 designers and brands.
An action carried out by the Consorci de Comerç, Artesania i Moda de Catalunya (CCAM) with the collaboration of the Institut Català de les Dones (ICD) and which is framed in the plan of actions foreseen in the Action Plan promoted by the Government through the ICD to combat aesthetic pressure, 2023-2026.

Free Form Style – Representing people with disabilities and adapted fashion
This Spanish brand started in 2019 by Marina Verges and Carolina Asensio, specialises in fashion adapted to different disabilities. Its founders say: “We design clothes without barriers. We dress everyone and break the barrier between design and need. People with disabilities or non-normative bodies have the right to dress like everyone else”. Asensio affirms.
The fashion show has been organised in collaboration with several professionals from the sector, such as Manuel Bolaño as the designer of the collection, the fabrics from the Gratacós shop and the shoes from Dr Martens.
The catwalk showcased 17 looks by Bolaño, including suits, blazers, trousers, shirts, dresses, coats, skirts, jumpers and shorts. All made with Gratacós fabrics, specially selected to avoid discomfort or chafing.
Designer Bolaño comments: “It has been a challenge to create a collection that can be adapted to different disabilities with small changes. I had never had a commission of this size before and it has helped me to realise that many people with reduced mobility find it difficult to wear clothes that we can consider normal”.
- In the collection there are trousers with fly and trousers with side opening for those who have to wear a tube.
- The jackets and coats have openings in the sleeves and, for wheelchair users, they adapt to leave the back in the air.
- The skirts are sarong style.
- And the fastenings are zips, Velcro and magnets.
Dominnico is a pret-a-porter brand founded in Barcelona by its creative director Domingo Rodriguez Lazaro.
The firm is characterised by meticulous pattern-making, research into new fabrics and materials, sustainability in its processes and a futuristic vision of fashion that aims to address a heterogeneous public in which the values of inclusion and freedom are the common thread of all its collections.
The aesthetic universe of Anel Yaos speaks, through her collections, of her inner world and the way of feeling of her generation, raising in her proposals questions such as the fears we carry inside us, the aesthetic pressure, the disturbing sensation of having to reach a goal or to belong to a group and the fact of being able to feel absolute happiness.
BIELO_ OSCARLEON. Genderless pieces full of feeling.
It is a modern and refined brand with variations on traditional cuts and a variety of textures.
Bielo_oscarleon rigorously experiment with inventive knitting techniques that result in unusual structures, capable of transforming ideas into unimaginable shapes and volumes. A collection marked by colour combinations and pattern experimentations with luxurious knitted fabrics.
Bielo is the fusion of western and eastern techniques giving rise to surprising materials applied to unique pieces of high quality. Tradition and innovation. Oscarleon is a philosophy of life, attitude, character and a strong graphic identity.
OUTSIDERS DIVISION. DAVID MÉNDEZ ALONSO
Outsiders Division is an independent clothing brand created by David Méndez Alonso in 2012 that designs clothes for all adults who haven’t grown up yet. From our Barcelona studio we celebrate imagination and art using emotions as a tool to create collections that include a long list of products and accessories.
