MovingMood case study Better Incubation

Better incubation

Specialist consulting on disability

Rut Turró was invited to be involved in the European-Union-financed ‘Better Incubation’ project as an expert consultant.

The program, run by LIAISE (Linking Incubation Actors for Inclusive and Social Entrepreneurship), aims to empower business support organisations (BSOs) to help entrepreneurs from under-represented groups.

Better Incubation is funded by the European Union is led by EBN, Impact Hub and EVPA.  It counts with the participation of Rut Turró as an expert advisor for people with disabilities.

The specific challenge includes mentoring BSOs in three pilots of entrepreneurs with disabilities.

The roadmap includes monthly meetings, training in disability, search for best practices in incubation for people with disabilities, online follow-up meetings, and a final workshop to present the results.

MovingMood contributes to the project with the “Design Inclusion” methodology, which starts with BSO training for people with disabilities. It highlights the importance of accessibility and provides solutions to questions on entrepreneurs with disabilities, communication, financing and physical or digital accessibility.

Outputs include, input for the EU policy recommendations guide, accessibility training and advice for the consortium, and the drafting of guidelines for accessible online workshops.

Rut Turró was chosen to represent the COP PWD Community at the final Workshop in July 2022, being recognised for her significant impact and learning for the team.
